Cap City Opening Day Celebration – Sunday, April 6

Come enjoy the family fun with an inflatable slide, obstacle course, face painter, DJ, Cap City pin giveaway, pizza, and more!

When: Sunday April 6th 10:00am – 12:00pm

Where: Baseball field at Chevy Chase Recreation Center 5500 41st St. NW, Washington, DC 20015

Event Highlights: 

10:45 am There will be a short program with remarks from distinguished Cap City supporters, including:

  • Mayor Muriel Bowser – Mayor of DC and Past CCLL Parent
  • Gregory McCarthy, Senior VP Community & Government Engagement for the Washington Nationals
  • Matthew Frumin – Ward 3 DC Council Member
  • Thennie Freeman – Department of Parks and Recreation Director
  • A special thank you to our 2025 sponsors, in particular our Flagship Sponsors Kira Epstein Begal Washington Fine Properties, Kids Elite Sports, and Wild Bill Sports
  • Ceremonial first pitches caught by Cap City softball and baseball players
