Leveling the Playing Field: Donate Gently Used or New Sports Gear

Please consider bringing used baseball or other sports equipment to Chevy Chase Recreation Center May 31-June 2 to donate to Leveling the Playing Field (LPF).

LPF is a non-profit that helps kids from under-resourced communities become involved in youth sports through the collection and redistribution of gently used/excess sporting equipment. Donations to LPF benefit Title I schools, rec centers, and other youth programs looking to engage their students in the physical and mental benefits of youth sports participation. To date, they have donated $14 million in sports equipment

If your player has outgrown or no longer needs their sports equipment, you can drop it off at collection bins at Chevy Chase Recreation Center. LPF accepts gear from multiple sports, see their website for the items they accept. Your donations will help make youth sports more accessible for players across the DMV.
