Happy Holidays to everyone! It was great seeing so many parents (and future kid umpires) at the December 9 adult slow pitch softball game! We know where our Little Leaguers get their talent!

While it’s cold outside, think warm thoughts. We certainly are. Planning is well underway for our Spring 2024 season. Read on for key dates and registration reminders.

 

Calendar-At-A-Glance

Here is the calendar of events from now through the beginning of the Spring 2024 season.  Watch your inboxes and our Facebook and Instagram accounts for more details:

  • Jan 1: Early bird registration ends!
  • Starting Jan. 17: Indoor softball clinics on Wednesdays for Majors (softball) players. More info & sign-up info coming soon.
  • Feb. 16: Regular registration ends/waitlist opens
  • Feb. 25: Assessment for new players registered to play in AAA or Majors (baseball). More details and sign-up info coming soon.
  • March 2: Parent Softball Game (rain date March 3rd, save the date!)
  • Week of March 11: Practices & Games begin for AAA & Majors (baseball)
  • Week of March 24: Practices & Games begin for all other divisions
  • April 6: Spring Cap City Family Fun Day (save the date!)

Winter Softball and Baseball Clinics

Jackson-Reed Youth Softball Clinic

Jackson-Reed High School is hosting a softball clinic to fundraise for their softball program.
When: Saturday, January 13, 2024
Where: Jackson-Reed High School Auxiliary Gym
Time: 10am – noon
Who: girls 8-12 years old. All experience levels are welcomed!
Cost: $50 per player

Baseball Clinic at Turtle Park

Two former St. John’s baseball players are holding baseball clinics this December and January.
When: December 30 and January 6
Where: Friendship/Turtle Park Recreation Center
Time: Dec. 30 from 8am to 10am; Jan. 6 TBD
Who: Players ages 7 to 13
Cost: $75 per player
